Don't you just hate it when your key remote or "fob" for your car starts to wear out and you feel that sinking feeling, you have to visit... the Main Dealer!!
Well, that's where I was, for over a year. These key "fobs" are really expensive, you can't just buy one from any old key cutting establishment. They are mini computers, they need specialist people, with very clever kit, to program your cars key into your cars ECU.
However, looking through eBay and Amazon recently I cam across a couple of useful things on offer. No. 1, Replacement kits for repairing a whole key remote utilising the bits from inside your old key
No.2 replacement rubbery panels that cover your buttons!! Just what I needed.
Duly bought two, both keys being badly worn, and was very pleasantly surprised at how simple the job was? It was harder making the video to show you what I did so you could see for yourselves.
