My Outfit... circa 2008

Late 2008 we had paid off the mortgage and had a windfall from the poorly performing Endowment Mortgage. We were looking for a newer car and we were considering selling our old 6 berth folding camper and in a spate of multiple impulses we bought first the Fiat Multipla shown above and then the Caravan which is a Baronns 505 Firsestorm. Both second hand, the Multipla (our second) 10 months old and the caravan or "tintent" as it is known was four years old. Hooked up they look good but sadly the Multipla was not quite upto the job for towing. It was legal but by crikey, the tintent dragged it all over the road in high winds! The multipla proved very unreliable and was replaced within 18 months by a Ford S Max 2.0 Litre Titanium Diesel, what a motor! it was everything the Multipla was not! An excellent, economical tow car that was quiet, smooth, good handling and economical. Towing was in the low thirties, normal day to day was high thirties at least, if not more and on a run it regularly hit mid fifties with a best of 59.2mpg on holiday in Yorkshire. However, the Multipla is still the best car I ever had as it had more smiles per mile than any other car I have owned and went around corners like no car its size! It was breathed on by Angel tuning who lifted it from 120bhp to 160 bhp and a 9.2 second 0-60. It was fun! Aby product of the tune up was if you drove it "normally" it was over 10% more fuel efficient. Thats a win win situation in my mind!

If your interested in tuning but worry about insurance then don't! Talk to these people for sall your car insurance needs and mention the Multipla Owners club ref 904 and make a saving. They dont mind tuned cars either!
