Cleaning a 'Mouldy' awning

Last summer, at the Leamington spa Ukulele Festival, we pitched the 'tintent'.

on site and put up the little porch awning. The extra space is extremely useful especially if it's raining, coats shoes umbrellas etc, and sadly we noticed a nasty smell... Mould!! Our beloved little awning must have been slightly damp when we put it away and the inside of the roof was turning black.
So today, I decided to try and kill the mould once and for all and I have put it flat out on the lawn and sprayed it with a weak mix of bleach. Do or die comes to mind!
Anyhow, two mins soaking and I hosed the lot off as best I could to avoid it rotting the cloth. I have to say the result is better than I expected :-)
I may have to redo the waterproofing but it's cheaper than a new awning!

Update!! It did indeed leak slightly and a £10 can of waterproofing sealant very quickly fixed it once and for all!
